ELT has a huge impact on the culture of the organization. Our mission and vision statements without ELT wouldn’t have as big of an impact.

Emerging Leaders Training is a key factor in our organizational development and growth. Employees at all levels have participated, from the owner to entry-level employees, resulting in cohesion throughout our varied departments and consistency at all levels of leadership.

As our positional leaders graduated from ELT and continue practicing the principles in their work life, other employees are exposed to and impacted by them. When new, future leaders emerge they have a leg up because they have seen the ELT leadership principles in practice.

I cannot imagine that our organization could have grown as quickly and effectively without the influence of Emerging Leaders Training.

It brings people together from different parts of the organization and gets everyone thinking about our leadership the same. Builds communication. Builds trust. The cohort concept is a huge strength. You’re in this together, relying on each other. Helps people get deeper and deeper so they can build on skills.

The last year and a half would not have been nearly as amazing without Emerging Leaders Training. The tools and knowledge I gained (the art of influence, relationship building skills, better knowledge of the structure of my work, pyramid of influence, Continuous Quality Improvement, 1on1’s, and so much more) have not just impacted the direction and many accomplishments that I have had at work but they’ve also impacted the way I interact with my family and friends.

Before we can have conversations about who we are as leaders, we have to figure out who we are as people. ELT’s principles are in the back of my brain. At any given moment I have some influence and set the tone for what our organization is really about.

It’s not about leadership training. It’s about practicing principles. A lot of good, common sense and practical advice. Taking time every week during group sessions and 1:1s with other members help drive those principles home in a way it would not if you just read a self-help book.

ELT calls up the best in all of us. We have a common language and most important, a common philosophy and value.

The benefit is that all of us realize we are leading all the time.

I connected with a coworker in a new way…where he could open up and I could give him help and direction. What’s the #1 benefit? The foundation or backbone of the company culture and what instills that culture in newer people.

ELT gives us tools to live our vision and mission statements. The more people in the organization that have these tools you have similar language, similar tools and principles so you’re not coming at it from different perspectives.

Vision statement of the company: we want to be about one growth and actually caring about the people…getting growth through caring.

The number one benefit for me? My personal development.

ELT has been a great source of inspiration for my journey of becoming a better leader, of both myself and others. ELT speaks directly to those in search of a better work environment and are willing to be part of creating it. The principles allow us to have a different conversation about leadership and the true impact of our influence on ourselves and others. Being part of the ELT cohort is a profound experience.
